The more I look at it, the more the secular left appears to be a whopping
great cargo cult, hoping to achieve "humanity" without in the slightest
understanding what it means to be human.

Isnt capitalism a cargo cult in an extreme form.
The giant shopping malls being in effect the "temples" of worship where all the "faithful" go to receive their shiny colourful rewards. Fully expecting all the shiny cargo to be there day after day as if by magic.
The advertising industry, especially TV, being the 24 hours a day medium which advertises the latest cargo and which calls the "faithful" to come to the temple---or perhaps send in their request via the hotline of mail order service.
Most of the "faithful" probably dont even stop to wonder where all this "cargo" comes from or the blood sweat and tears that went into making all these shiny bits of cargo.
Do they even ask if there is any direct association between the seemingly infinite never ending supply of "cargo" and the USA imperialist invasion of Iraq and why peace loving America has over 700 foreign military bases, 13 carrier bases attack fleets, and that it it (the USA) is "responsible" for 48% of the worlds armaments trade?
The "culture" of daeth made manifest in very concrete form(s).
If anyone dares to obstruct our "god-given" right of access to your cargo we will send in the marines or bomb the shit of you.
